ALESSIO MAZZANTI

MANAGING DIRECTOR

Biography

Alessio Mazzanti is a Managing Director at Latam Investment Banking with more than 30 years of experience in investment banking, corporate finance, and cross-border M&A transactions across the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Before founding Latam Investment Banking, he served as Director at Pan American Finance (2005–2011), advising mid-market companies on mergers and acquisitions and capital raising transactions throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.

From 2001 to 2005, Alessio worked at Valorem, the investment arm of the Santo Domingo family, where he advised portfolio companies on financial strategy, capital structure, and management decision-making.

Earlier in his career, he was part of Violy, Byorum & Partners in New York (1996–2001), focusing on the origination and execution of cross-border M&A transactions in Latin America.

Alessio holds an Engineering degree and an MBA from Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá). He has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School, Kellogg School of Management, and the London School of Economics.

Biography

Roberto Sanchez is a Managing Director at Latam Investment Banking with over 30 years of experience advising companies on mergers and acquisitions and debt and equity financings across the United States, Latin America, and Europe.

Throughout his career, Roberto has advised on completed transactions totaling more than USD 7 billion, working with clients across sectors including financial institutions, industrials, retail, and media and entertainment.

From 2004 to 2014, he served as Director at Athelera, providing M&A and capital raising advisory services to companies across Latin America. Before that, he was Vice President at Violy, Byorum & Partners (1997–2003), where he focused on advisory mandates in media, consumer goods, building materials, and financial services in the region.

Roberto began his career at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in 1994 as a Financial Analyst in the Corporate Finance and Financial Institutions Group.

He holds a degree in Applied Mathematics–Economics from Brown University and was recognized for academic excellence as a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon and Sigma Chi, as well as a recipient of the Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award.

Biography

Bill has more than 40 years of experience in the Americas, and is a seasoned leader and strategic business advisor, having served as Vice Chair of Strategy and Transactions at EY Americas, as well as a member of the EY US and Americas executive boards.

His extensive experience includes advising private equity firms, C-suite executives, and global organizations across various industries, with a focus on beverage, fintech, automotive, and professional services, among others. A founding member of EY’s Strategy and Transactions practice, he has been instrumental in all aspects of the transaction cycle and has led significant growth in his business unit.

Based in Brazil with EY for five years, where he developed EY’s transaction practice in Latin America into the leading Strategy and Transaction service in the region. Fluent in Portuguese and Spanish, he holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy and a Master of Business Administration. He is a certified public accountant and an active member of multiple CPA societies.
